Tiree High School is unique in providing education for the community of Tiree from preschool right up to eighteen years of age.
The school is housed in a recently extended building and all departments are well equipped. A good range of modern technology is available including TV, digital video camera, PCs, Apple Macs, fax machines, and recently purchased videoconferencing equipment. Pupils are encouraged to use computers in the learning process from an early age, and many of the senior pupils use word processing facilities to prepare folios and project work.
The secondary department is housed in a recently extended building. This provides excellent accommodation with new rooms for art and home economics, a library and resources area, and an assembly hall which also functions as a gym and dining area. The new building links the original secondary department building with the primary and technical departments to house the school under one roof. The school has been upgraded to meet the needs of children or adults with disabilities.
