Thurso High School is a non-denominational, six year comprehensive with over 1000 pupils and seventy five teaching staff at present, and it continues to offer the best in traditional Scottish values. The broad and balanced curriculum provides a challenge for all its pupils, many of whom go on to Higher and Further Education.

Thurso High School is the most northerly secondary school on the Scottish mainland serving the town of Thurso and the surrounding rural area which includes the villages of Castletown, Halkirk and Reay. The school caters for young people from eleven up to eighteen.  Within the school there is provision for children with severe and profound learning difficulties.
