Tarbert Academy is a three - eighteen years old school located in the village of Tarbert Loch Fyne.
Tarbert Academy is a non-denominational, co-educational six year secondary school with a primary department, and pre-five unit. The six-year secondary department offers a full curriculum covering the five - fourteen syllabus in S1 and S2, standard grade courses in all eight modes of the middle school curriculum, and a full range of National Qualifications at various levels: Access, Intermediate, Higher, and Advanced Higher.
The primary department incorporates a pre-five unit, and covers all aspects of the three – fourteen curriculum.
The school is a high-achieving school with a strong positive ethos, supporting not only high academic performance but also a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
The school is an important part of the community and welcomes and encourages all possible forms of contact and cooperation. Only if this is achieved can the pupils benefit fully from their education.
As part of the current improvement plan Tarbet Academy are actively seeking to promote closer partnership with local business and commerce, local community groups, as well as with our parents, as partners in our children’s learning.
