Oban High School is a six year non-denominational comprehensive school with over 1000 pupils and approximately 100 staff. The school has twenty two associated primary schools and despite this record number take in an excellent and effective partnership.

The school has recently undergone a substantial rebuilding and renovation programme which was completed in 2001, with excellent facilities and a 'state-of-the-art' information and communication technology suites, a range of gyms, basket-ball courts, games hall, fitness and dance suite and technology rooms complementing the more traditional teaching rooms.

The school along with partner primaries and the community has an ‘Eco Garden’ and an all weather pitch.
