Mid Yell Junior High School is a nondenominational school providing education for children from nursery through to secondary four.

We are located in the island of Yell, Shetland. Mid Yell is approximately thirty eight miles north of Lerwick. The school is part of a cluster of schools - the other members of which are Baltasound Junior High School, Uyeasound Primary, Fetlar Primary, Cullivoe Primary, and Burravoe Primary. We are currently in a shared management pilot where the head teacher also manages Cullivoe Primary School.

The school roll is presently eighty six pupils and there are a further twenty two children in the nursery class. The secondary department has pupils from S1 to S4.
