Kilchuimen Academy is a small secondary school situated in the picturesque village of Fort Augustus at the south end of Loch Ness next to the Caledonian Canal. There has been a school in the village for over 100 years, and the school is now in its third building, which was built in 1968.

The school became a full six year secondary in 1989 with the pupils coming from the associated Kilchuimen Primary School, placement requests are also received from pupils attending Invergarry and Stratherrick Primary Schools.
