Grantown Grammar School lies in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park in an area of oustanding natural beauty. The recent opening of a new Community Leisure Facility which is integrated with the existing school and swimming pool, provides both school and community with high quality sporting facilities. The school caters for children and young people from the age of eleven up until eighteen. The school has thirty six teaching staff with a current school roll of 372 pupils enrolling from the associated primary schools: Grantown, Deshar, Abernethy and Carbridge.
Grantown Grammar School strives to create an ethos in which they challenge and encourage all pupils to realise their potential in every aspect of school life, emphasising the importance of maintaining a purposeful, working atmosphere where pupils feel safe, valued and secure.
