The input of employers and other providers is a key requirement of the initiative. Sometimes providers are full partners such as farmers or the Forestry Commission helping to deliver Rural Skills, or a local builder in the case of construction skills. Other providers may allow workplace visits or give talks to students in a college setting.

The initiative is designed to improve the availability of committed young people who can be recruited into some of our key employment sectors. These young people will not only have gained introductory skills in their chosen field, but will also have become well versed in the wide range of essential 'employability skills' such as timekeeping, health and safety, and customer care.

Below is a list of providers who have registered their school partnerships, or who regularly provide employment and training to school leavers. There may be many more providers involved in the initiative or providing career pathways who have not registered their partnerships here. Unregistered employers will not be listed but nevertheless form the backbone of the programme. Employers wishing to register should follow the 'register' link in the quick find menu at the top of the page.
