John Munro is an expanding firm offering a complete range of building services.   They operate from the planning stage for new build,  carry out ground works and  right through to the finishing trades as well as specialising in restoration projects, incuding listed buildings.  The firm has recently been accepted as a member of the Federation of Master Builders.   They undertake domestic, commercial and  industrial contracts.   They undertake agricultural ground works and block work.

The firm currently operates in both Caithness and Sutherland.  Recent contracts include the refurbishment of the Holborn Hotel in Thurso,  Bighouse renovations at Melvich and the new physiotherapy extension at Caithness General Hospital in Wick.

 John Munro Joinery has a very experienced work force and is also employing a range of apprentices across the construction trades, currently including masons,  joiners and painters.  Mr Munro supports the importance of young people get an early insight into the world of work and employment skills as well as finding out about the range of skills needed in the construction industry. 

He is looking for young people who are genuinely interested in improving their skills , who enjoy turning out quality work and who can contribute well to the company's team effort.  He is quite clear that his young employees must show regular attendance,  be good timekeepers and prove themselves to be reliable workers.
